About the Presenter

Lisa Chacón, Ph.D., M.S. brings a broad suite of tools and experience to support entrepreneurs from business model definition through funding and launch, gained from her role as co-founder and co-director of a co-working space for social entrepreneurs – Impact Hub Oakland (now Evolve Oakland). Her career includes nearly two decades of leadership as a consultant in corporate strategy and sustainability, along with technology R&D. Her passion lies in empowering people to realize their entrepreneurial vision, cultivating community, and making a positive impact in the world. She holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley, and a master’s degree in sustainability from Sweden’s Blekinge Institute.
